FAQ

What is telemedicine?
Telemedicine is defined as “a form of remote medical practice using information and communication technologies.” Concretely, it serves, through new technologies, to connect a patient with doctors, to monitor his state of health, prescribe drugs to monitor a chronic disease, etc.
Telemedicine is safe as long as the management is not a life-threatening emergency and the doctor doing the teleconsultation is experienced. The doctors who consult alloMed are doctors based and practicing in Switzerland who are aware of their responsibility for the well-being of their patien
alloMed is available from any device connected to the internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Teleconsultation is billed through basic health insurance as a telephone consultation. It is recognised by all Swiss health insurance companies. The rate is billed according to the duration of the teleconsultation, in fractions of 5 minutes. Services in the lack of the patient are invoiced in addition. Emergency fees apply for consultations without appointment between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., as well as on weekends and holidays. Please note that some specialists (such as aesthetics for example) are not covered by your basic health insurance. You must check your health insurance contract against your deductible and the various costs that are not covered by it. Note that, according to your contract, insurance companies impose an obligation to go through their telemedicine service.
